WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE LAND CRUISER FJ60 AND FJ62?

What is the difference between the Land Cruiser FJ60 and FJ62? This is a question I get asked often. There is a short and a long answer to this question. For the purpose of this post, I’m going to give you the short answer.

The easier way to differentiate the FJ60 from the FJ62 are the headlights. The FJ60 headlights are rounded as opposed to the square headlights on the FJ62. This is the easiest way to tell the two apart!

 The FJ60 was made from 1981 – 1987. The fj62 is the more modernized of the two and was sold from 1988 – 1990. The FJ62 was equipped with an automatic transmission, power door lock and windows, and a fuel-injected engine.
